in Europe people are VERY unlikely to use anything that costs them data traffic because you get RIPPED OFF easily

but wifi would be VERY popular because it is free most of the time and the coverage gets better every day

As far as GPS goes, it's not as goood on a mobile phone as the portable units you can get for your car (Garmin anyone?).
