I've suffered from depression twice, once with the help from my doctor with medication ([thumbdown] ) and the last one was with the great support from my best mate. After about 6 months to a year of bad things happening, I get quiet, seem to close myself off or get ratty but never seem to maun when the event happen - just lose all emotions and feelings for a while. While going to the doctors can help some people, I preferred my second way, which was find out exactly what was causing it and "face the demons" - this could be going to a place that relates to the demons for any reason.

If I didnt have the support from my best mate, I would have been a complete wreck by now and completely shut myself off from the world, cause I dont like the idea of going on medication again for it.

Different things work for different people, and if you're lucky enough like me to have someone so close that you can completely open up to, then I'd highly recommend that. It only took an evening at a site with them there for their support, which put me right. It was certainly a lot better than 3 months pilled up and sincerely thank them for it.
