because you had a bad experience once don't mean all doctors are the same ...
You're right, it's not. I'm well damned aware of that. I used to go to a doctor that wouldn't listen to me about what was causing my high blood pressure and got put on damned near half the BP meds under the sun. Still went back and found one that worked, though.

There's a time for medicine and a time for not. When you've exhausted all options that don't require bothering a doctor, then go.

It's a known fact we live in an over-medicated world. People go in for the common flu and get prescribed anti-biotics. Why again? They don't do **** against a virus. But they're still prescribed anyway. People go in for a minor ache and pain, and get given god-damned oxycotin. . .and then we wonder why the hell the ****'s available on the street so readily and people get so addicted to the ****. . .maybe if doctors would stop handing out medicine like candy, we wouldn't have such low pain tolerances and drug-resistant strains of diseases.

Oh, and if you involuntarily lose your bowels that's the time to call 911. That means that there is something wrong with your spine and you will become paralyzed from the waist down if something is not done quickly. Now see, that's just common sense. . .when you loose control of bodily functions, THAT'S something to run to the doctor about.
