Ok, I come home from work yesterday at 7pm, nothing. I leave my house to go to work 8:30 am and as I'm pulling out of my driveway I see a tree in my front yard. My reaction is and I assume that it was the work of [insert family member]. I just called around and it looks like it was the City of Carlsbad's handy work.[cursing] They planted a tree then taped instructions on how to care for the tree on my front door! My lawn already has 2 adult trees on it, I don't need another one (esp one so close to the sidewalk that'll ruin it in 5-6 years). Is there anything I can do legally? I'm assuming I can't cut the tree down since it's city property. Can I just not water it? if you're wondering why I don't want a tree is because: a) leaves get everywhere b) I have 2 trees already in the front c) Way too close to the sidewalk d) fugly
