The juvenile antics of many DCJ members remind me more of what we would likely find at an unsupervised children's playground rather than a moderated political forum, suggesting the bans may have been a wise decision. For many, the general strategy for disagreement appears to be mindless attacks of vulgarity, personal insults and a strange obsession with "sock puppet" accusations in an attempt to "shout the opposition down". Not surprisingly, those most guilty of this childish form of debate seem to be predominately of one general political persuasion__Maybe it's time you abandon those radical hot-blooded tactics you learned at academia. Normally I do not agree with silencing the opinions of others by means of administrative power, but admit that it may sometimes be necessary as a reminder to all of us to debate our issues in a civilized manner.
