Hmm, it might be that you aren't on the same workgroup. Right click on my computer, go down to properties, and then click on the computer name tab. On this tab. go down to rename this computer or join a domain, click change, well click that button and then a new screen comes up. On the screen make sure that on the pro machine, Workgroup is selected and type in the Workgroup you want, I have mine set as MSHOME. On the other machine, do the same though I think all you can see on the is the workgroup. Make sure that it is the same as the XP pro machine. Restart your computers.
Also you need to make sure that you are actually sharing something, like your C drive. If you aren't you won't see anything. One more thing, that if you are sharing something and you can't see the other computer you can manually type the IP address of the other computer so long as you are on the same subnet. For example you want to access the Pro machine from the home, then you would type \\IP-ADDRESS. this should being up the other computer's shared resources.
