Sometimes after watching the comments posted in this thread, I am sad to be part of the male gender. Parallel parking is difficult. Impossible? No, but it it does require a great deal of awareness compared to highway or residential driving. Also, if the spot does not have enough room then there is no way to maneuver a car into a spot. There simply isn't enough room without turning it into a 30pt maneuver. Also, some cars are easy to parallel park. My Escort is so easy its not funny. My Kia Sephia is harder because of the high trunk line and door sills. My TransAm is a PITA because of the low seating position, high trunk line, long overhangs. Good driving is mostly awareness and confidence.
