There is a good reason to use a credit rather than a debit card and that is for purchases over £100, because you get added protection (in the UK at least) under the Consumer Credit Act (I think it is). The credit card company is equally liable as the seller, so if the seller goes bust before you receive your goods or just start playing you around you can claim from the credit card company.
