No shark attacks in that part of florida are common, i don't know why, but chances are if you're gonna get a shark bite, this is a good place to get them.

But nothing like a Tiger Shark, not that close to the beach, maybe Spinners or something. Might lose a finger, or get a thigh bite, nothing that serious.
Out here we have great whites, & they are not afraid to wander into the waves......

Attacks where I go are rare (Santa Cruz) but there have been some reported fairly recently but no deaths........

There are lots of tasty sea lions hanging out on the pier & if you go out & look @ them you can see teeth marks on many of them..........

My wet suit is black & so is the bottom of my board so I do think about sharks when I am out there...... But I try not to..........
