However, Weaszel, your questioning the validity of them because science has yet to explain them, holds no water. We could not explain or even understand Atoms for thousands of years - it made them no less real. Honeslty, science still has lots to explain that is real (dark matter for instance).
It's interesting that some people (not anyone in particular) who are so anti-religion turn into playing the part of the believer in a thread about ghosts. [rofl]

I like your explanation of science and explaining the world.

IMHO, it goes to show that people value personal experience more than anything else. If you feel that you have experienced a ghost, no one can convince you otherwise.
