Hey, we all know Hammond is probably already sitting there asking when he needs to be down at the studio and the donations ARE a very good indication of support for Hammond and what he does. The donations show that Top Gear viewers are not crazy and think nothing will ever hurt you as long as you're going fast, it shows that they can make the connection between speed and danger and are donating to thank the service for helping Hammond as well as anyone else out there. Hammond is already walking a little bit and making phone calls and stuff, can you picture what he's going to be like after a month or just kicking it in the hospital or at home? I really do think he'll be ready to come back to Top Gear and do the in studio hosting, I also think he will want to not just for the fans, but because he loves it and he'll be bored to death by then.
