Thin socks and shoes is more comfortable than leather socks and shoes?

You aren't going to walk about a non Muslim office in just leather socks?

Understood; but you mentioned it's difficult to even wear seal skin socks + regular shoe for 9 hours, but suggested an alternative to pray with leather shoes on, which would mean you couldn't take off that shoe for 9 hours, even during prayer. That just seemed like an odd solution.
