Sayings of My Shaikh (DB) Related to Science
Effect of Science
Study of science should lead to God consciousness (for it is an investigation into signs of Allah Almighty) but today people are getting misguided by the same. Scientific experimentation should be done by emptying the mind of biases. The right use of our faculties will lead to enlightenment. This includes right use of eyes, ears, tongue and mind.

(Sitting (majlis) on Tuesday, August 31, 2010) On Acquiring Science
Science must be studied to achieve gnosis (ma-rifat). Today we persue sciences to earn worldly things.

(Sitting (majlis) on Friday, September 3, 2010) Purpose of Science
Today we study science to make money. If you study it to be familiar with Allah Most High then you will be left praising him to the highest possible levels.

(Sitting (majlis) on Tuesday, September 21, 2010) On Science and Its Uses Again
Science in its character is a very good thing but we use it for destructive purpose only, as if constructive things are strange for us.

(Sitting (majlis) on Sunday, October 24, 2010) In these saying there is a constant warning about uses, in fact against misuses, of science.
There is no condemnation of science.
There is ample hint that science can be a source of Ma'arifat.
There is also some hint in other sayings that study of science should not be given preference over religious studies.
This latter fact can not in any way be interpreted as any kind of denouncement of science.
It only means that Deen is compulsory and science is optional.
