A career become dangerous when our whole life revolves around it, and we want it usually for the wrong reasons. People in careers follow orders including to attack other people if necessary ( I am hoping most Muslims would not blindly obey orders), but non Muslims in psychological tests, even tortured people because some official told them to.

I see what you mean. Yes, letting life revolve around a career... giving in to threats of loss of career or advancement to do things that are un-Islamic or things that will hurt anyone in the ummah is something to be cautious of insha'Allah. It can be hard to keep eyes on the straight path while some deviations pull this way and that. I agree, caution is needed - especially in those careers where money easily takes over and more-and-more people are competing for.
