wa 'alaykum salaam,

Akhi the article quotes answering-ansar:

and then the article goes on to note how the underlined source is incorrect - my question is, what about all the other sources? Are those also flat out lies?

wa alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah
salam `alaykum wa rahmatullah,

The article, if read completely with care, shows that the idea that is supported with the references itself is refuted by referring to the underlined one. Not that the underlined reference is simply incorrect. When the claims are shown to be a lie, I don't think there is a point in us going through all other references. A liar's arguments are paid no heed.

But even if the references are checked in light of the claim they support, then yes it can be said that they are flat out lies. Ibn al-Jawzi states clearly in Zad al-Masir that according to the majority this verse does not refer to temporary marriage, and so does al-Razi as quoted in the article. This is also a fact realized when taking the views of all the scholars concerning the verse into consideration.

I hope this helps.

wa `alaykum as salam
