let me point out some 'facts':
- it is not clear whether the person was mentally unstable.
- it is also not clear whether he was tortured.
- it is also not clear whether the police entered the case or refused to do so.
there are logical flaws in the reports:
- why would the local residents complain about the blasphemy if the man is mentally unstable?it is obvious from someone's outlook if he is mentally unstable. also was he an outsider or a resident of the area? if he was a resident there was no way anyone could not have known he was mentally unstable.
- why would a group of 'vigilantes' fully capable of burning the man, first file repeated complaints, then take him to police office, then ask them to release him and then burn him?
this is why i asked: does anyone know what really happened?( just a point:i share the opinion of mufti naeem on this; which is against vigilante justice.)
let us not jump to conclusions before knowing the facts please. esp those living outside of pakistan.
