Ok, but if someone needs to pay interest on a mortgage and if the economy is run along unislamic lines it makes it very difficult for individual Muslim to live as Muslims...money is tight, finding a job that pays enough is hard...on top of that one that allows praying salat is even more difficult. Ok when we are not at work we should pray our salaat anyway...but some of us are so exhausted by the work day they just want to collapse at home...I know this is not a good enough excuse...but there needs to be Wholistic change not just partial change. A group of Muslims numbering hundreds and thousands should be doing something collectively as a Jamaat to establish halal money, halal trade and halaal government. We should have local Amirs who will collect our zakaat from us and use it in the way that Islamic law says...we should work towards creating markets like the sunnah market in Madina......no Jammats do this...all of us are just doing the individual faraids. All Jamaats of Muslims should at least have political leadership, where they decide what the community will do and how they will collect and distribute Zakat money. Zakaat is a pillar of Islam, it is not the same as Sadaqa, Zakaat is supposed to be collected by a leader.
Do what you can within your own capacity. & then on a community level we should do what is in the community’s capacity. Sh Taha explained to us the Takafol insurance method a while back. & he explained that in England somewhere a group of muslims living on a farmstead started their own takafol insurance. They had no Islamic government, they were hardly a big muslim community but it worked & today they very successful Alhamdulillah. But they were willing to invest in something that would have no returns & the next muslim would benefit & even after years of being part of this group some did not benefit at all.
In our community we bought a house to build a masjid & paid it cash, it took a year to collect the funds but it happened. If you have issues with the non Islamic market then you should start one in your capacity. Start with one shop, give people interest free credit & inspire others.
Being tired is not an excuse. If you tired & sleep before the waqt comes in then there is no sin on you if you sleep through that waqt & just make qadha after.

Everything is possible, think positive & have a good intention. We have a problem in our community in Johannesburg. The average man doesn’t want to study & we can see that he doesn’t know enough. Me & MOSPIKE have been working together in bringing the I’lm to our communities. We not off the ground yet but we are pushing & we have the vision that this could become an organization that will exist long after us. Its just the two of us, no ulama, no doners, our own money, here & there we get something.
