In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh

Foods and drinks that contain alcohol derived from sources other than dates and grapes are permissible to consume with the following conditions:

It is not used as an intoxicant or to an amount which intoxicates
It is not used in vain

Takmila Fath al-Mulhim (3/338) Dār al-Qalm
Ahsan al-Fatāwa (8/487) H.M. Sa’īd
