Default what exactly is wrong with Jamat e Islami's politics?
aoa,

i have read the criticism on maududi sahab in quite detail and i agree with it. But Allah knows best.
while i understand we must not read his books, but why exactly are the practicing muslims in pakistan (or the indian supporters of a muslim government governed by shariah) not united in their political support for JI?

what exactly is wrong with it?
do they not advocate Rajm and qata yad (stoning and cutting of hands)?
do they not speak against fahashi in society?
do they not call for a ban on usury?
do they not call for a proper Islamic education system from grade 1 till post graduate integrated into the secular education setup?

please note: i am not making a case for them, the questions above are simply questions. i am asking about their policies.

also has anyone read "Pakistan and Islam: ethinicty and ideology" by Hamza alavi
and A Murder of History in Pakistan by K.K. Aziz?

what i know of JI are that they criticized Muslim League for not advocating shariah in pakistan yet it was fooling people in name of two nation theory. as we know, the notion that secular muslims and secular hindus are a separate nation is hypocritical.

but my point is isnt what all politically correct individuals such as Ml. Azam Tariq have said?Shariah in pakistan.

so why is it that they should not be supported politically?
