I suppose this is a rehash of the old Free Will vs Determinism debate...and people will fall on different sides of the fence. Ibn Arabi's epistemology suggests that all human views can be partial and only in rare cases do the humans involved overcome this partiality and see things from a more larger integrated perspective, which exists, if only humans do not restrict themselves to a partial epistemology. For example the Islamic laws of hijab it can be argued prevent the biological drives from running amok.
