We weren't making fun of him. We're just trying to tell him that you can't just incorporate science into every verse of the Qur'an. Yes the Qur'an has some scientific miracles in it, but to try and impose scientific rationale into obscure verses is taking it a bit far. This is what the Kuffar feed of off.

The Qur'an is a book of Guidance, take the guidance, leave the science for the scientists.
