I am a newly practicing Muslim and would just like to clarify a few things about the salafi's and sunni's.

Sunni - So do these say that we follow Islam according to the way of the prophet and his companions and the tabi'ee but through the understanding of the 4 madhaib ? And because no one alive today can properly understand the way of the prophet and his companions he therefor must do taqleed os a madhab ?

Salaf - Do these say that we follow the way of the prophet and his companions and the tabi'ee but not through any particular madhab, we just follow it generally how it should be understood in the clear and apparent (dhaahir) way ?

Am I right, if not then let me know the proper brief and UNBIASED definitions please.

Edit: Does anyone know what Abu Mussab Wajdi Akkari is ?
