Some of us who are 'educated' come to realize that we aren't Educated at all... at least I can speak for myself here.

M.Y. - In a weird way, you've hit the same nail that my Muslim brothers on this thread have been hammering and that is exactly what we (Muslims) need... nothing will change until we (Muslims) become Educated in our deen.

I speak for myself before anyone since I am fully aware of my own sins:
  • Family is crucial - we need to pay proper attention to the rights of our family members (and others) and our obligations
  • Prayers - establish and maintain prayers and all other forms of ibadaat
  • Hereafter - we really must focus more on the destination and not worry too much about whether we're riding in a limo or on the back of a donkey
  • Signs - Alhamdulillah... we've been given so many favours and signs, and which of them will we deny?
  • Muslimahs/sisters - need to be supported in our duties and made aware while also shielded from the deceptiveness of feelings of inadequacy in our most noble roles as mothers, sisters, wives, daughters... (i.e. feeling content rather than feeling like we lack what non-Muslims appear to enjoy)
  • Du'aa for our ummah - May Allah (SWT) bless the ummah of Muhammad with strong and pious children who have a thirst for the knowledge of Islam and in whose hearts His noor shines brightly. May they be distinguished, not by gold medals, distinctions and prizes handed out by bani Adam (as) but distinguished in obtaining the pleasure of Allah (SWT). Ameen.
