Salam o Alikum wa rehmatullah,

Brother I am from Turkey, and I personally red Risal e Noor (the book of NURSI).I had been reading this booking since last 5 years.It is being spread by "NOOR JAMMAT" and "FATEH ULLLAH GULEN( a student of NURSI) The book is quite nice and the main focus of the book is to find ALLAH and to proove ALLAH .

Famous Haroon Yahya has also been inspired from SAID NURSI.Thier was nothing wrong in this book till the followers of Said NURSI (Noor jammat) changed this book a lot in order to comply with the "Bad SUFIES " of Islam.Since the NOOR JAMMAT's main aim is to become the biggest jammat in the world and to bring the KHILAFAT back in TURKEY. Majority in Trukey is of NOORCU(Noor students(followers of NOOR JAMMAT)) they beleive SAID NURSI to be the Imam Mehdi and that is why they say that khilafat will be in TURKEY again.

This thing might be very difficult for you to beleive but every group in Turkey has it's own IMAM MEHDI.

HAROON YAHYA ( a student of nursi) is beleived IMAM MEHDI by his students
Fateh Ullah GULEN (A student of nursi)is also beleived IMAM MEHDI by his students.

In other list of IMAM MEHDI we have Necm utin Ay bakan (former priminister of TURKEY).AHmed (another scholars from TURKEY).

But the biggest problem is that if you ask from any of the members of these jammats that do u beleive him imam mehdi? all will say no !! Never!! but if you live with them for 1 or 2 years they convince u of that.

I do not know how to explain you my experiences (as they are so many but let me try a bit.May ALLAH help me and put Barka in it)

I was living in thier dormitories and i was living with them thier are many things wrong in current NOOR JAMMAT i-e- asking from sheikh ABDUL qadeer Jilani(May ALLAH have merci on him), asking from Bazid BASTAMI, beleiving said nursi to be a companian of Prophet Muhamad SAWW , beleiving that when u read RISAL e NOOR Muhammad SAWW and SAid nursi is with you listening you, beleiving that person reding his books will get the SHIFAAT(intercession) of NURSI.beleiving that If u read Quran you only get the 10 rewards for 1 word but for Risal e Noor u will get 1x10xNo of people reading Riasal e Noor at that time.Beleiving that Nusri and MUHAMMAD SAWW is present in the gathering of Maulood(12 rabi ul awal) and devouting a chair for MUHAMMAD SAWW.Reading the books of Shiaas (but this is only specific for the areas where thier a lot of ALAVIES), and the list goes so long that may be the whole day i can write about NOOR JAMMAT.

In short stay AWAY from these people and thier forged books(his books are altered I can prove this by giving u the contradicting statements of Nursi at one place he will oppose Mu'tazilla and at other palce he is preaching MU'tazilla, and list of contradiction in the MADH'AB goes to a very very long list i-e some times behaving as a Shafaii and some times behaving as a HANAFIE.)

Brother I would say If he was a rightous soul then may ALLAH have merci on him ( not RAZI ALLAH ANHOO as his students claim).But he really worked very hard to spread Islam in Turkey as he could see that the clouds of etheism are going to rain in Turkey, but his students are spoilling the true spirit of Islam.
They say that ALLAH send a Mujadid after every 100 year and NURSI is a mujadid and a mujtahid and Muhadeeth and a Mufaseer(they will accept this thing publically) so since he had a mustash so we shoould also have a mustash but his is not wajiib rather it is mustahab, nursi did not marry so it is mustahib not to marry and devoute ur self for NURSI(WAKAF) and spread his book in the whole world.since he did not had beared so it is makrooh to have beard but in order to propogate one can have . Nursi did not do jihad so it is not the part of SHAIRAA now.And one thing more they hate ARABS to an exent that even JEWS get inpiration from them

We have so many scholars other than him and INDIA is a home of schoalrs so why should we take risks.

Any other explaination or any evidence you need you can ask and will try to arrange for you

Thanks for your reply. From your reply one thing is clear that practices of his followers are not very much different from that of Barelwis. I mean no offense to any Barelwi Brother.

I recently came across one of his reading which I have found quite interesting and concerning to some unwanted doubts that often arise into my mind.

Would you personally recommend me continue reading his work?
