Yes he is Ikhwaani.

Some may have described him as salafi/wahabi because:

* He doesn't stick to one madhab
* Many of his fatwas in fact go outside all four madhabs (e.g. music)
* From a brelevi perspective, anyone who isn't one of them is by default a 'wahhabi'

But as others have mentioned he is an Ikhwaani with Ashari aqeedah, the very antithesis of what constitutes a salafi.
