How much should one stretch the last portion of an ayah, for example. 'alameen' or 'raheem.' I am assuming one of the rules of madd apply, but which one? Secondly, when a stop is made at then end of the ayah, how much and to what extent is the last letter articulated. For example, the noon in alameen, does the tongue stick at the point of articulation or is is released once it is pronounced. Some people barely articulate the last letter, others make a qalaqala out of it when there is no qalqala.
When ending the ayah you need to try and make the length of the end vowels of all the endings equal. you shouldnt read one alif length in one ayah & the 6 in the next. its similar to the rule pertaining to the madd which is jaiz (which has an alif following in the next word).as per the shawafi' ulama it is sunnah to lengthen these vowls in salah for surah fatihah, the proof of this is found in bayhaqi.
the noon & even the meem should be read but its should be light on the tongue. & there is no qalqalah.
