I have seen this narration quoted many places but came across this recently:

Is there a difference of opinion regarding the status of this hadith?

رَجَبٌ شَهْرُ اللَّهِ ، وَشَعْبَانُ شَهْرِي ، وَرَمَضَانُ شَهْرُ أُمَّتِي
“Rajab is Allaah’s month, Shabaan is my month and Ramadaan if the month of my Ummah.”

Shaykhul Hadith Fazlur Rahman Aazmi (HA) says that its a fabrication so accept it.
