The general procedure is:

5) If the guy doesn’t reply (which is most of the time) then Maulana sends some more letters asking for a reply

Doesnt the Alim need any witnesses, to verify the story and her marriage? Her parents, or brothers, or the witnesses of the marriage contract? I heard this was the method of another Alim since every married woman could fill in such a request then? Doesnt he need to phone also?

(just wondering, no need to answer if you think it is inappropiate in this topic)
