^ Is that so? Most people I know from the subcontinent are very averse to adoption, and very verbose about it. Just yesterday I had such a conversation. It was quite painful to hear the generalization and the reasons why one should not adopt. I find it irritating hearing the words "Be patient,
you will be granted your own child", when the adoption idea was never about having ones own child, but rather to take care of one who has no parents.
After the child has completed his/her education, is he/she still treated as an adopted child?
