Salaam alaikum,

In a year or so I will be offering an oppurtunity to become an apprentice in farming/gardening/animal care and I am just putting out a feeler to see if anyone is interested in such a venture. this is in canada.

Food and board would be providied, plus lots of time focused on ibadah and daily seclusions (accept for the animals ofcourse). What is offered:

- learning how to be a shepherd, caring for goats, chickens, and other livestock
- learning about growing plants, plant care, earth care, cultivation
- learning how to use old non-electric tools, such as the scythe, ax, bow saw, etc.
- having the oppurtunity to be in nature pretty much 24/7
- having an escape from many technologies such as computer, mobile phone, radio, tv, pretty much electricity
- having the oppurtunity to practice many sunnah that other lifestyles would not allow, and more

I am looking for probably an unmarried young muslim brother. The goal is to help establish people with a knowledge of old farming and agricultural skills so that they can start their own self sustainable life independent from the modern system. Let me know if anyone is interested. There are other things to discuss, but I just want to see if anyone would be interested. Jazakumullah khair.
