That is pretty civilized compared to what was going on here in Germany. Every few months you would hear about mothers literally "slaughtering" (or at least killing/murdering) their babies, because of different fears. It's just like Rasulullah mentioned in one Hadith about the three worst sins and he mentioned them in the worst scenarios, that the mother will kill her child due to the fear of poverty. Just lately I've not heard about a recent incident. That as well could be just because I don't watch or read News much.
