Does not matter if many of his other statements had cleared many confusions in the minds of masses and made islaah of countless people.One of the experience/karguzari of one of his fan on the fan page of Moulana on 'fb'.
:salam;
brother, I am not denying the work of Maulana Tariq jameel sb, but that doesnt mean that calling controversial scholars as "Shaikul Islam" (which means that he is an authentic authority on Islam) is acceptable. And also, I heard that bayan where he compares Maududi sb with Hakimul ummat Thanwi R.A. and says that Maududi sb's writings were more effective for common people than Hakimul ummat's which is unacceptable. So, now do we encourage people to read his books since he was a "good Hanafi Aalim"? Such problematic "unity" statements basically put the Ulema who have warned against maududi/Tahir ul Qadri/Farhat hashmi etc in the bracket of 'narrow-minded and sectarian extremists'. May Allah guide our Ulema.
