It seems that Shari'ah is already being applied on him since he's been marrying four women (at least some of them being Muslim).
So, it should be more the case of him not making his Islam public to the whole world, rather than not announcing it at all..

Lots of "Liberal Modern Muslim" women marry non-Muslims these days, as for marrying four women, when did this happen? is he married to four women right now? where does he live?
