aoa,
a bit off-topic. but is this really where Hadra Yusuf is buried?
didnt he die in Egypt?
i thought all the Prophets are buried where they die. that is beyond doubt correct. so where did he die and where was he buried?
qadianis bring this up often.
can someone answer please?
Jazak Allah khair.
Well, it is said in the Old Testament (I'm just remembering vaguely some quote) that when Musa (as) led the people out of Egypt, they brought the bones of Yusuf (as) out and took it with them... which is, now that I think of it , very strange.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph%27s_Tomb

The Torah provides four details regarding the traditions surrounding Joseph’s remains. The account in Genesis relates that, before his death, he had his brothers swear they would carry his bones out of Egypt to Canaan.[22] He is then said to have been embalmed then placed in a coffin in Egypt. [23] In Exodus,[24] we are told that Moses fulfilled the pledge by taking Joseph's bones with him when he left Egypt. In Joshua, Joseph’s bones are said to have been brought from Egypt by the Children of Israel[25] and interred in Shechem.

The bones of Joseph, which the Children of Israel brought up out of Egypt, were buried in Shechem in a parcel of land Jacob bought from the sons of Hamor, father of Shechem, for a hundred pieces of silver (qeśîṭâ).[26]

The Bible does not identify a specific site in Shechem where his bones were laid to rest. So the Jews believe that Yusuf was reburied somewhere in Palestine, although not certain where exactly. How the grave in Nablus came to be thought as the tomb of Yusuf, is anyone's guess.

The Wikipedia article says three possible places for the Tomb of Yusuf (as), according the Jews' own traditions: Nablus, Hebron and Safed. But most people seem to think it's the one in Nablus. As for what Muslims are doing at a tomb with an unknown occupant...
