I don't know what the OP intended but when I see it, I don't take it as an invitation to say here in the form of a post. Each time I see this post title, I am reminded to say even if I don't always post here.

The title itself is an excellent reminder for us all and the way to 'bump' it is to comment and why not say instead of 'bump'? Also, I may be wrong but, saying alone is not sufficient, it must come from the heart first, before it hits the lips (or finger tips in this case). Since no one knows what is in the heart of the person saying it (what they are asking forgiveness for), I don't think it would be riya - especially if the person's intention is to remind others of the importance of asking for forgiveness.

May Allah (SWT) forgive me if I have erred here.

And Allah (SWT) knows best.

I thought I'd just make a naseeha, which is don't trust your own strength and think that you will be able to do so and so with pure intention if you can do it otherwise. Maybe all of them have good niya but a thumb of rule which I was taught is if you can avoid doing it in public, do so, because the riya is like a black ant on a black rock in the darkness. Prevention is better than cure...
