In the Hanafi Madhhab, rinsing the mouth and the nose are two of the three fara'id (obligatory elements) of ghusl, the third being having water passed on the whole body. Without any of these three elements, a ghusl won't be valid.

While during wudu', rinsing the mouth is a sunnah element, not a fard or wajib one.

I have been told that gargling during ghusl should be done in such a way that water reaches the back of the neck to the point that you want to vomit. Is this true?
