I would be afraid of watching the video, but that was a pretty heavy curse/prayer you made in your first point...

I would use that anger, and pray for the people, and let Allah deal with the wrongdoers - ....

Please forgive me for saying anything untoward.
Salaam Sr. Khadijah

Absolutely no offence taken. May Allah reward you for you comments.

"There is no disagreement that it is lawful to curse the disbelievers. `Umar bin Al-Khattab and the Imams after him used to curse the disbelievers in their Qunut (a type of supplication) during the prayer and otherwise. As for cursing a specific disbeliever, some scholars stated that it is not allowed to curse him, because we do not know how Allah will make his end." [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]

Alhamdulilah we can do both - invoke curses on them and also pray for the people of Syria. May Allah accept their martyrdom and raise their ranks in jannah and allow us to follow. May Allah bring torment and humiliation to the disbelievers.

Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. [85:10-122]

And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare [in horror].Racing ahead, their heads raised up, their glance does not come back to them, and their hearts are void. [14:42-43]
