This is interesting from a fiqh point of view.

What is a dream job?
For example I get a good salary and work as a technician at a university. I am relatively content...is this a dream job? As a Muslim should I be making myself suitable for a job? What is wrong with this. Well I can be very narrow in vision and only consider the good things that the university does....what about the bad things it does....should I continue to work there knowing that they help to create ways to kill others and make war, that they help to control and spy on society? Should I just accept this because I have to earn a living or should Muslims be attempting to collectively alter the world? All organizations that we might work for will be doing good and bad, we are happy to ignore the bad as long as we get a job.
I think as far as the original post is concerned a 'dream job' should read as 'ideal job' .

One where the product sold is Halal and the commoditiy is useful/needed by the targeted audience (this gives you a sense of ethical satisfaction in the job)

I think I have a relatively 'dream job' - A company that sells automoblie parts and I deal with the online business. But a few more changes in my direction will make it the ideal job and that has to do with the hours of work.

What the OP covers is very far from the 'school or thought' that I am part of that deals with lifestyle change in the digital age, it is a amazing place to be and if I could benefit others from it I would love to be able to do that.

For example you would challenge the statement 'have confidence'. What does that even mean today in the real work place? in the new school of thinking it would mean becoming remarkable. A cut above the rest; even to the extent of outstanding. So confidence is tied into either knowledgebase or action or combination of both. For example you may not have done that particular job before but you have a better way of thinking about how the job can be done and are willing to proof if the opportunity is there. Or it could be that you have proven it before and (knowledge and action) can demonstrate in a new place.

Since I have got better at this I only apply for 1 or 2 job and end up getting one of them. Most of the stuff taught about job hunting is absolutely rubbish and counter productive and leave people demoralised. The new way of thinking is amazing and will land you the job you want but requires an understand.

Most of the guys I know were bought up in the effort of Tabligh and consequently had an amazing heads start ahead of so many local Muslims and this really bottles down to the exposure that Tabligh gives to so many people of so many different cultures. The better people person you become the better you will be at getting what you want inshAllah.

life in society about compromise, negotiation, sharing, assisting and working people.

Khalid Yasin said, 'use people but do not abuse people'. So the guys from tabligh background that I know just smash it. They have awesome skillsets and just go into an interview and just smash it and come out with the job
