To reach the white educated middle class, you may need to know your Dante, just as you will need to know your Shakespear. If not for anything else, at least to sway the hearts.

If what you are saying holds any water then the sahaba must have referred to Ka'ab bin Ashraf maloon for swaying the hearts of jews. But everyone knows that wasn't the case.
