Sorry about your dogs. That's terrible. If you get another dog I hope you consider looking at rescues and the pound. There are plenty of pure-breds who need good homes in those places too.

Thank you. I really need to get another dog before the pup dies. My older one will be alone for the first time in 9 years...I just can't do that.

My point, I might not be able to rescue the next one. (older dog is a rescue, pup is not)... because I need to have a small dog with the pup.
But, when she does die, I will be able to rescue and I will.

Good article, did you ever see the dog that sat on it's owners grave?
