Please make du'a for our brother Tarek Mehanna. He was found guilty on a list of terrorist charges. There was no concrete evidence against him, and much of it was fabricated, or distorted to incriminate him. I've always seen it on TV, but now i'm seeing it so close to home, and up-close you can see how ugly it is. A man who was a teacher, a loving father and son, kind person and a very active member of the local community was framed. His parents were so patient and he was full of Iman during the first trial, he reassured us that Allah will make sure that justice is done and told us to be patient, he smiled while we were in tears to reassure us. He was asked on multiple occasions to spy on our community and he refused. After the FBI was turned down repeatedly, they decided to attack him with frivolous charges. THis is a common practice of FBI showing up on door steps and masjids "discretely" asking people if they know such-an-such, they even asked my friend, an 18 year old Somali girl if she knows or met Osama Bin Laden, it was unreal and totally absurd. may Allah bring justice to us all and keep us steadfast, united, and patient, amen.
