Yes, I have tried that, but they laugh in my face. Im ridiculed in my family for going to "extremes" with the deen. My parents know its haram, but they persist in doing it. Once my father even asked me in a taunting fashion "son, is this permissible in Islam" while indicating the song playing on the TV.

Too many Muslims these days are a lot like your family.
My advice try to get your own place or find Muslim[s] who
think like you and see if they need a roommate.

May Allah make it easy on you.
