Bashar al Assad is following a creed the denies basic essentials of Islam and is constructed of various ideas of shirk and kufr.

He is a murderous tyrant and no Sunni scholar in his right mind will support his continued rule.

It seems that you would be happier if the tyrant Gaddafi was still in power too!
