Dar al-Manarah is a 'Salafi,' if you want to call it that, publication house. Note their publications of Fath al-Majid Sharh Kitab at-Tawheed and numerous books by Ibn al-Qayyim.

What is more, their translations are terrible ever since Selma Cook stopped editing for them. Or some of them are, anyway. Avoid anything translated by Muhammad Ghazny.
Well that answers the publishing house. I'd still like to know if there is any harmful change to the actual tafsir itself..seeing as how the Darussalam TIK (Tafsir Ibn Kathir) explicitly says "Abridged by a group of scholars under the supervision of..." and the other TIK doesn't..so I guess in the end I'm wondering just how Muhammad Anis Gad Khalil translated it..
