How do you go about congratulating someone really close to you, who just purchased a house (that there wasn't really even a dire need for), on mortgage and will be paying interest/riba.

If you don't congratulate them, you look rude. If you congratulate them, or give them "mubarak", then you are essentially condoning something which is 100% haram.

Dealing with interest is an announcement of war against Allah

and His Messenger

, as Allah

says in the Quran. Astaghfirullah. May Allah

protect us all from this and all other fitnah. Ameen.

So, what do your brothers and sisters think about this?
