I don't have anything to contribute to this thread (nor do I see the benefit of it as I said in my post earlier), however I will say that it's probably a bit rude and uncalled for to start a sentence with "So the Hanafis think that..."; and I'm not just saying for Hanafis, but for any madhab.

It's not what Hanafis "think", it's what Iman Abu Hanifa taught us (not with this issue, but any "Hanafi" ruling in general). He by the grace of Allah had a tremendous amoung of ilm (knowledge) about the deen, learned directly from people who we can only dream of being like, and then codified it to help make it clear for future Muslim generations. Same goes for Imam Shafii and the other imams .

It's not as if a bunch of people who call themselves "Hanafis" get together and come with rulings based on what they "think". No, it is derived from the teachings of Imam Abu Hanifa , who derived every single one of his rulings from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of Allah's Messenger .

Are there people who just blurt out rulings based on what they "think" and no real information? Sure, but that happens in every walk of life, and is not particular to Hanafis or any specific group of people; rather it is human nature.
