May Allah make things easy on you.It sounds like your husband is one of those brothers who needs to treat his wife better and need some backbone when dealing with his family and others.
He have no right to be beating on you...you need to see about getting some counseling immediately from Imam,scholar or mature persons in your family.This is totally wrong and unacceptable.The Prophet[saws] said the best man among us is the one who is the best to his wife and family.Maybe you need to run this by him.
