Nasser hussain is not a muslim as i have been told he once dismissed religion in an interview.

Same with Zidane who when asked about the hijab issue in france, he simply just shrugged his shoulders as if he was a mute. Then again when you marry a christian dancer or ex-dancer, what are your beliefs going to be?

Ribery mashallah is a revert and is practising.

I have a lot of respect for Naseem Hamed, who even though wasn't the most practising ( or appeared not to be), promoted Islam wherever he went. In Las Vegas before his last fight, the azan blared out. Who has the guts to do that in this day and age? Respect to him for that.

I'm not surprised there were footballers from French clubs in a jamaat, as tableegh work is growing phenomenally in France with the youngsters lapping it up!. It's even putting the UK to shame, which says something mashallah!

Being a sporting icon is such an amazing platform to do dawah, that the rewards will be huge for the person who does it. May Allah give Becks hidayah so he can give dawah too. Ameen
