listen mate you should have filed a complaint. He has no right to hit you....you should have got his name/badge number and told him that you asked permission beforehand. Take it up with his superiors man....also get the guy who you asked for permission as to vouch for you. Seriously man if you don't do that next time the policeman might beat someone up badly...
