Our feeling is that once we take fatwa from other Imams, we are rejecting Imam Abu Haneefa's knowledge of sunnah.

Dude, you have to understand that Imam Abu Haneefa is among the imams we take fatwa on. It is not like a separate fountain of knowledge. His knowledge is among the contributions towards the central authentic and permissible fountain of knowledge, the ijma' of the scholars.
